Certification

Rules of certification of telecommunication aids and devices in the Republic of Azerbaijan were confirmed by decision №175 of August 21, 1998 (with additions and changes) by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

 

Main duty of certification of telecommunication aids and devices is to create and maintain the market of telecommunication facilities and devices in the republic, to define the facts of meeting requirements of technical parameters of telecommunication facilities and devices in the republic the requirements of interconnection telecommunication networks, national, international, interstates and other normative documents.

 

Main purposes of certification of telecommunication facilities and devices are: 

  • Creation of necessary opportunities for activities of enterprises and organizations in the unified commodity market;
  • Determination of technical level of telecommunication facilities and devices for use in Interconnection Telecommunication Networks;
  • Rendering assistance to customers in purchase of quality goods;
  • Protect customers from producers making goods of low-quality;
  • Increasing technical level and quality performance of telecommunication facilities and devices (including electromagnetic coordination) to customers’ demands;
  • Creation conditions for based competition in domestic market;
  • Creation of conditions for use of advanced technologies;
